Challenge Our Perceptions of Poverty
We are now accepting submissions for Doc Studio's 2013 Contest.
In five minutes or less we want you to make us look at poverty in a way we haven't before Your documentary can be angry, raw, funny, or inspiring. But it has to be honest.
Your doc will be evaluated on its ability to:
- Challenge our perceptions of poverty and make us understand poverty in a new way
- Tell a good story
- Elicit an emotional response from the viewer
Doc Studio Contest Prizes:

- A day on the job with acclaimed Canadian documentary filmmaker Shelley Saywell.

How You Can Help Pick the Contest Winner
Shelley Saywell, acclaimed Canadian documentary filmmaker, is this year’s featured filmmaker and will helm the jury that picks the shortlist. Then it's up to you to go online in March 2013 and get people to vote for your doc.

How to Submit Your Doc
Check out these instructions to submit your doc online. The deadline is February 28, 2013. Be sure to read the Rules and Regs and fill in the following required forms (where applicable).
